Mr. Met is Creepy, But He Married Well

Updated: May 28, 2023

August 26, 2022, New York, NY - I find the whole baseball head mascot thing a little strange. Like a creepy doll. However, Mrs Met seems fine. I can't really explain it. So like my own marriage, Mr. Met's wife softens his image a bit.

The Mets have a great fan base, and they really turned out on this steamy night. We took the subway from midtown, and New York really steps up when it comes to crowd control both before and after the game. They ran extra trains to get the crowds out as soon as possible.

The crowd was also very engaged in the game. It makes a difference in the atmosphere.

The highlight of the game was the unexpected pageantry of the closer. The stadium dimmed the lights and camera men appeared on the field. We did not know what was going on when the trumpets started heralding in Diaz.

Stadium Ratings are exciting, good, meh, bad, disastrous.

Stadium - Engaging fan base. Getting there from midtown is efficient but lengthy process. Illegal beer sales on the train going back. Rating: Good

Food - No standout food on this visit. Rating: Good

Mascot - Mr. and Mrs. Met jammed throughout the park since it was DJ night. Rating: Good
